Out and about in KL

Over the past year and a half I have collected many pamphlets on all the touristy stuff to do in and around Kuala Lumpur.  From that collection I have been able to read them all, toss out the junk and the time specific stuff, and compile a pretty good (in my opinion) little note book of stuff to do in this wonderful city.  Upon request I will be more then happy to bring this notebook for you to look through and I will scan what I can gain permission to display onto this blogsite.

The first thing I recommend anyone to do when they come here is to go on the 'hop on hop off bus'.  It is the best way to get an overall idea of what KL is.  Here is the web address:  http://www.myhoponhopoff.com/
At what is currently stop #17, Independence Square/Dataran Merdeka, be sure to get off here and go into the building that has the big, red "I♥KL" sign in front of it.  It is a free museum, walk through and go upstairs to the KL model and light show.  This little show sums up KL very well.

A little bookmark that was given to me on the Merdeka Square Tour.  It has a pretty good summary of everything in KL.

Three pamphlets in my notebook that give summaries and directions to the best of the best in these categories.

Just a tiny, ity-bity, fraction of a taste for you shoppers out there.
Seriously, there are a lot of malls here.

Included in my notebook is the Merdeka Square Guide and the K.L. Heritage and Nature Trail Guide which I am not permitted to scan and post on this site.

  1. Sunway Park, for families--and the fireflies tour which is a ways from KL but was a fun outing if people can get a group together.
